Gadchiroli Police arrested two hardcore Maoists who were actively involved in the murder of an innocent person in Pengunda

Gadchiroli : District being affected by Maoist activities, they engage in anti-national activities such as damaging government property, attacking security personnel, and obstructing government work by arsons etc. Two such hardcore Maoists who were actively involved in several violent activities against the security forces were arrested by the Gadchiroli Police today i.e on 09/07/2024, just few days before the upcoming Naxal Week of the Maoists. Due to the effective operations of the Gadchiroli Police, a total of 81 Maoists have been arrested since Jan. 2022.Detailed report is that, in the forest area within the jurisdiction of PS Dhodraj under the limits of Bhamragad sub-division. C-60 Pranhita squad while conducting an Anti-Maoist operation, found two persons suspiciously roaming in the said forest and took them into custody. Upon further investigation, the suspects were identified as 1) Ravi Mura Pallo (Action Team Commander) age 33 yrs. R/o, Kawande, Tah- Bhamragad, Distt. Gadchiroli and 2) Doba Korake Wadde (Party Member, Bhamragad LOS), age 31 yrs. R/o Kawande, Tah-Bhamragad, Distt. Gadchiroli. It was found that both of them were directly involved in the murder of Dinesh Gawde, an innocent person, which took place in Pengunda village in November 2023. They were arrested in Cr. No. 02/2023 U/s 302, 143, 147, 148, 149, and 120(b) of the IPC, including section 3/25 of the Arms Act.Information

About the Arrested Maoist :

1. Name: Ravi Mura Pallo

Tenure in Maoist Organization :

In 2016, he was recruited as Janmilitia. Since 2018, he was working as Action Team Member. In 2022, promoted as Action Team Commander and worked on this post till date.

Offences registered :

A total of 06 crimes have been registered against him, including 01 Encounter, 01 Arson, 03 Murders and 01 other.

Offences committed during his tenure :

Encounters – 01
In 2019, he was involved in an exchange of fire with Police in the Morometta forest area. In this encounter, two Maoist were neutralised in a fierce gun battle between Police and Maoists.
Arsons – 01
In 2022, he was directly involved in setting afire 19 vehicles, including tractors, graders, and JCBs, on the road near Pengunda along Dhodraj to Irpanar route to obstruct road construction.
Murders – 03
He was directly involved in the killing of an innocent woman named Bebi Madavi in Irpanar in November 2018. He was directly involved in the killing of an innocent person named Rajesh Atram in Nelgunda in 2022. He was directly involved in the killing of an innocent person named Dinesh Gawade in Pengunda in Nov. 2023.
Other – 01
On 22/03/2023, he was directly involved in planting IED’s in Nelgunda forest area.

2. Name: Doba Korake Wadde

Tenure in Maoist Organization :

In 2008, he was recruited as Janmilitia. In 2019, he was recruited as Party Member in Bhamragad LOS and worked until now.

Offences registered :

A total of 18 crimes have been registered against him, including 05 Encounters, 07 Murders and 06 others.
Offences committed during his tenure:
Encounters –
In 2019, he was involved in an exchange of fire with Police in the Morometta forest area. In this encounter, two Maoist were neutralised in a fierce gun battle between Police and Maoists.
Arsons –
In 2022, he was directly involved in setting fire to 19 vehicles, including tractors, graders, and JCBs, on the road near Pengunda along Dhodraj to Irpanar route to obstruct road construction.
Murders –
He was directly involved in the killing of an innocent person named Rajesh Atram in Nelgunda in 2022. He was directly involved in the killing of an innocent person named Dinesh Gawade in Pengunda in Nov. 2023.

Rewards on their arrest :

Maharashtra Government had announced a reward of Rs. 08 lakhs for Ravi Mura Pallo’s arrest. Maharashtra Government had announced a reward of Rs. 02 lakhs for Doba Korake Wadde’s arrest.
Due to the intensified operations conducted by the Gadchiroli Police, a total of 81 hardcore Maoists have been arrested since January 2022. This action was undertaken under the guidance of Neelotpal, Superintendent of Police, Gadchiroli, Yatish Deshmukh, Addl. Supdt. Of Police (Ops.), Kumar Chintha, Addl. Supdt. Of Police (Admin.), M. Ramesh, Addl. Supdt. Of Police, Aheri and Vishal Nagargoje, Dy. SP (Ops.) by C-60 Pranhita personnel. Furthermore, Neelotpal, SP Gadchiroli, has appealed to active Maoist cadres to renounce the path of violence and surrender in order to live their lives with dignity.
