Gadchiroli, 05 : District being affected by Maoist activities, Maoists engage in anti-National activities such as damaging government property, attacking security personnel, and obstructing government work by arsons etc. Two such hardcore Maoists who were actively involved in several violent activities against the security forces were arrested by the Gadchiroli Police and CRPF today i.e on 05/03/2025. Due to the effective operations of the Gadchiroli Police, a total of 92 Maoists have been arrested since Jan. 2022 till date.
Today Morning i.e. on 05/03/2025 in the forest area of Arewada within the jurisdiction of PS Bhamragad under the limits of Bhamragad sub-division. PS Bhamragad Police and CRPF 37 Bn. personnel while conducting an Anti-Maoist operation, took two suspicious persons in custody as they were found roaming suspiciously in the said forest area. After that, they were brought to Police Headquarters Gadchiroli for further detailed investigation. Upon further investigation, the suspects were identified as 1) Kelu Pandu Madkam @ Dolava (PPCM, Company No. 10), age 26 yrs. R/o, Murkum, Post-Tarrem, Tah-Usur, Distt. Bijapur (CG) and 2) Rama Dohe Korcha @ Dummi (Party Member, Bhamragad LOS), age 32 yrs. R/o Mendhari, Tah-Etapalli, Distt. Gadchiroli. It was found that the two individuals are hardcore Maoists listed in the police records and they had entered Arewada forest area with the intention of conducting reconnaissance for carrying out an attack. During the police investigation, it was revealed that these two Maoists were directly involved in murder of a police personnel during encounter that took place on February 11, 2025, in Dirangi-Fulnar forest area. They have been arrested today in connection with case registered at PS Kothi Cr. No. 01/2025, U/s 103, 109, 121 (1), 132, 189(2), 190, 191(2), 61 of BNS, along with Sections 25, 27, 3, 5 of the Arms Act, Sections 3, 4, 5 of the Explosive Substances Act, and Sections 13, 16, 18, 20, 23 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, along with Section 135 of the MPA.

Kelu Pandu Madkam @ Dolava
Tenure in Maoist Organization:
Recruited as Member in Pamed LOS in 2016 and worked until 2017.
Transferred as guard of CCM Milind Teltumbade in 2017 and worked until 2021.
After being injured in Mardintola Encounter in 2021, he stayed in Kakur forest area of Maad region and received treatment until February 2022.
From February 2022, he worked in West Bureau Staff Team along with DKSZC Rupesh and Prabhakar, until August 2023.
Transferred to Company No. 10 in August 2023 and worked until April 2024.
From April 2024, he worked with DKSZC Prabhakar and Company No. 10 until December 2024.
Promoted to PPCM (Platoon Party Committee Member) in December 2024 and worked in Company No. 10 till date.

Encounters – 04
He was involved in an exchange of fire with Police in Mardintola forest area in 2021. In this encounter, 27 Maoists were neutralised in a fierce gun battle between Police and Maoists.
He was involved in an exchange of fire with Police in Tekametta-Kakur forest area in 2024. In this encounter, 10 Maoists were neutralised in a fierce gun battle between Chattisgarh Police and Maoists.
He was involved in an exchange of fire with Police in Koparshi forest area in October 2024. In this encounter, 05 Maoists were neutralised in a fierce gun battle between Police and Maoists.
On February 11, 2025, he was involved in an exchange of fire with Police in Dirangi-Fulnar forest area. In this exchange of fire, one personnel of Gadchiroli Police was martyred.
Arsons – 01
In 2023, he was directly involved in the arson of vehicles engaged in road construction on Murumbhushi-Markanar route with intention of stopping construction work.
Rama Dohe Korcha @ Dummi
Tenure in Maoist Organization:
Recruited in CNM (Chetana Natya Manch) in 2011 worked until 2013.
From 2013 to 2023, worked as Member in Gatta LOS.
Transferred to Bhamragad LOS in 2023 and worked as Member till date.

A total of 12 crimes have been registered against her, including 08 Encounters, 04 Murders.

In 2023, she was involved in an exchange of fire with Police in the Hikker forest area.
In 2024, she was involved in an exchange of fire with Police in the Koparshi forest area.

Murders – 04
In 2020, she was involved in murder of Police personnel Dushyant Nandeshwar at Kothi village.
She was directly involved in the killing of an innocent person named Vinod Madavi in Kothi in 2021.
She was directly involved in the killing of an innocent person named Lalasu Velada in Titola in 2023.
She was directly involved in the killing of ex Panchayat Sabhapati Sukhram Madavi in Kiyer, Bhamragad in February 2025.
Rewards on their arrest:
Maharashtra Government had announced a reward of Rs.06 lakhs for Kelu Pandu Madkam @ Dolava’s arrest.

This action was undertaken under the guidance of Sandip Patil, Special Inspector General of Police (Anti-Naxal Operation), Ankit Goyal, Dy. Inspector General of Police, Gadchiroli Range, Neelotpal, SP, Gadchiroli, Dao Enjirkan Kindo, Commdt. 37 Bn. CRPF, Yatish Deshmukh, Addl. SP (Ops.), M. Ramesh, Addl. SP (Admin.), Vishal Nagargoje, Dy. SP (Ops.) and Amar Mohite SDPO Bhamragad by PS Bhamragad Police personnel. Furthermore, Shri. Neelotpal, SP Gadchiroli, has appealed to active Maoist cadres to renounce the path of violence and surrender in order to live their lives with dignity.
